Divergence Scanner Research Guide

The Divergence Scanner screens symbols where price and RSI or OBV disagree across 15m, 1h, 4h and 1d. Results are research shortlists — not trade signals and not a guarantee of reversal.

RSI divergence

Bullish RSI divergence: price makes a lower low while RSI makes a higher low. Bearish RSI divergence: price makes a higher high while RSI makes a lower high. Always confirm structure on Chart; RSI divergence alone is not an entry.

OBV divergence

OBV divergence compares price extremes with On-Balance Volume. It adds participation context to RSI findings. The scanner covers RSI and OBV only — not MACD divergence.

Suggested research workflow

1) Scan with timeframe + type (all / RSI / OBV) and optional Min ADX. 2) Open Details / Chart to review structure with RSI and volume panes. 3) Optionally encode related ideas in filters or TAP for screening — TAP rsi_div / obv_div conditions are scan-oriented and are not painted as Chart overlays.

Limitations

• Divergences can fail or persist in strong trends; ADX filters only reduce noise, they do not validate trades.
• Readings refresh with market data snapshots — treat rows as periodic research, not tick-perfect alerts.
• No hidden-divergence or MACD-divergence mode is offered on this scanner.
