About Flux

Flux is a cryptocurrency designed to facilitate the operations within the Flux ecosystem, which aims to support the development and deployment of a decentralized Internet, commonly referred to as Web3. The utility of Flux extends to various functions, including the acquisition of resources, collateralization of nodes, and the execution of transactions on the FluxOS platform. Additionally, it serves as a reward mechanism for miners and FluxNode operators who contribute computational resources to the network. The Flux ecosystem is composed of several integral components, including a mineable proof-of-work cryptocurrency ($FLUX), a decentralized computational network known as FluxNodes, and a Linux-based operating system called FluxOS. The Flux blockchain supports on-chain governance and economic models while facilitating interoperability with other blockchains and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. As of mid-2025, the Flux network boasts approximately 11,500 decentralized nodes globally, equipped with over 96,000 CPU cores, 230 terabytes of RAM, and more than 6.1 petabytes of storage, positioning FluxCloud as one of the largest decentralized networks available today.
