About Virtuals Protocol

Virtuals Protocol is a launchpad platform established in 2024 that facilitates the creation, tokenization, and monetization of AI agents tailored for gaming, entertainment, and virtual environments. Designed to be accessible, the platform allows users without technical expertise to engage with AI technology. Initially launched on Ethereum's Base Layer 2 network, the protocol has since expanded to include the Ethereum mainnet, Solana, and Ronin by 2025. The VIRTUAL token serves as the primary liquidity pair and transactional currency for all interactions involving AI agents within the ecosystem. The protocol employs a bonding curve model, where the creation of new AI agents incurs a fee of 100 VIRTUAL tokens. Users can trade agent tokens until they reach a threshold of 42,000 VIRTUAL, at which point the agents transition to a permanent liquidity pool. These AI agents are designed to be multimodal, capable of processing text, speech, and 3D animations, and can autonomously manage on-chain wallets. Founded by Jansen Teng and Weekee Tiew, Virtuals Protocol evolved from PathDAO, a gaming guild that shifted its focus to AI agents in early 2024. The project has secured significant funding and established partnerships with notable companies, enhancing its growth and operational capabilities.
