Golem Network is an open-source, decentralized computing platform designed to create a marketplace for distributed computing resources, particularly aimed at supporting the artificial intelligence sector. By facilitating a peer-to-peer exchange, Golem allows users to monetize their idle computing power by offering it to those who require computational resources. This system enables users to break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable subtasks that can be processed simultaneously across various providers, enhancing overall efficiency and reducing the time needed for task completion. The Golem Network Token (GLM) serves as the primary currency within this ecosystem, enabling transactions for computational services. Users known as Requestors can place bids in GLM for the completion of their tasks, while Providers earn GLM by executing these tasks.
