In Forex markets, Supertrend combines Average True Range (ATR) with price action to create dynamic trend-following bands on EURUSD, GBPUSD and major pairs.
The upper band represents the bearish Supertrend boundary; the lower band represents the bullish boundary. Both shift as ATR and price change across FX sessions and gold volatility regimes.
LONG conditions typically occur when price moves above the active Supertrend level; SHORT conditions when price moves below — trend context, not automatic entries on FX or gold charts.
Supertrend uses ATR to scale band distance to market volatility. Higher ATR widens the bands; lower ATR tightens them — useful context on volatile gold moves and major FX pairs.
15m captures short-term context. 1h adds session bias. 4h supports swing structure. 1d reflects broader regime on FX.
